Business Development Manager

This is a key role as the company is committed to ambitious growth plans. It is essential that the new Business Development Manager can generate sales leads, meet prospects, make proposals and close new business. The business will support that process with marketing and technical support as required, however the initial phase will be to create new opportunities for growth.

The new BDM will seek out and network with companies characterised as digital champions, businesses that are creating new or different services, thus offering exciting challenges and a broad market for your talent to flourish! You will enjoy the identification, engagement and selling stages equally.


Your personality will promote positivity across the business and your determination will influence increased sales activity. You will be inspired by the agency’s formidable track record of success and harness this when meeting with potential new clients, calling upon your technical understanding and comfortably speaking the digital language with key stakeholders, sometimes in formal situations, but also over coffee or lunch. It is expected that you will be adaptable to client preferences and be ready to meet at short notice. You will be the face of the business, the inspiration for new clients to onboard.


Key Responsibilities:


Identify new opportunities

Develop a sales pipeline

Win new clients (with values in the £50k-100k range)

Be the lead contact for clients during initial delivery

Become a key contact for the in-house delivery team


Working closely with and reporting to the Managing Director, you will be a key presence in management / board meetings where sales pipeline, delivery resource planning and strategy will be discussed.

● Successful track record of success, selling into the digital / technology sectors

● People management skills

● Able to work in an Agile environment

● Ability to lead weekly sales meetings, and report on pipeline progress

● Understanding of the entire software development life cycle

● Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels

● Work in a transparent way with all clients
