A career defining opportunity for an experienced IT Manager to own all aspects of technology, applications and services on behalf of a well-known Midlands based manufacturing and design company. The business operates on a global scale, with exceptional turnover and distributes a comprehensive range of professional lighting and control systems for industry.

 

The role of Group IT Manager requires excellent relationship building skills as well as strong leadership and team management attributes, therefore ensuring the delivery of complex integrated ERP and CRM systems along with associated IT infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring in depth understanding of ERP and CRM systems within a multi plant manufacturing setting.

 

Responsibilities will include owning ERP and CRM applications, delivering on-going business improvement projects, managing in-house and external resources, providing IT due diligence and insight on new applications, making recommendations on improvements and driving systems integrations throughout the group. The role is based in Redditch, Worcestershire, on-site with the largest company and will also be responsible for several other sister businesses both in the UK and overseas. There will be some travel, however other companies are typically managed remotely.

 

Education and Experience expectations;

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical discipline (such as Computer Science or Engineering) is desirable.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior IT leadership role.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in engineering, developing, planning and executing enterprise scale technology initiatives.
  • Experience in Project Management including concept to implementation.
  • Experience implementing Tier 1 or Tier 2 ERP / CRM applications with leading technologies. (Infor M3 experience highly desirable, Sage 200 desirable)
  • Proven performance in the leadership and management of staff at all levels as well as supplier selection/development.
  • Experience working with business critical, large capacity systems in a 24x7 environment.

 

Computers and Technology expertise;

 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of information systems technology, including ERP systems, servers and storage, network and telecommunications, security, and IT best practices (ITIL).
  • Extensive Experience operating ERP and CRM software packages for a leading manufacturing organization. Preferably Movex M3 13.X.
  • Experience creating, procuring and managing technology solutions, both internal and outsourced, including SaaS, IaaS, and off the shelf solutions.
  • Current knowledge of IT best practice and procedures.
