ROLE OVERVIEW


We are looking for a dynamic Sales Director to help grow our UK business.

 

As an established agency handling a large pipeline of business and winning some of the biggest accounts in the country, we are looking for someone who can come in to successfully lead new business pitches. We expect the role to be fast-paced, with lots of opportunities to deliver.

The Sales Director will establish, nurture and develop relationships with digital marketing practitioners and Marketing Directors. They will be responsible for taking opportunities from the initial introduction stage right through to commercial negotiations with a large input into delivering pitches.

The Sales Director will be involved in taking briefs from clients and helping to turn their challenges into market leading solutions alongside the client teams. This will require a mixture of written and pitch responses, as well as devising ways of staying in talks with potential clients outside of formal pitch processes.  The pitch process will draw in experts from across the business to help deliver solutions and a key job of the Sales Director will be taking material from the channel experts and turning in into compelling stories that help us win business.

The Sales Director will also help develop the proposition of services by taking feedback from the market and devising ways of communicating our product. This will involve a close integration with marketing, lead generation and channel teams with the opportunity to feed into the future development of the agency.

Please note the agency operates a hybrid working model with a minimum of 2 days a week based in our London office and the remaining days from home if you wish.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Own significant portions of the sales pipeline - working with clients from introduction right through to commercial discussions
  • Own the RFP process - working with our internal teams to deliver winning pitches for large accounts
  • Build relationships with in-house marketing teams and developing a thorough understanding of clients’ business issues and how we can solve them
  • Own success metrics, constantly working to improve pitch win rate and average deal size
  • Own a portfolio of relationships with relevant third parties such as intermediaries
  • Ensure sales materials are effective, up-to-date and targeted - with consistent messaging
  • Understand the true value offered across our product portfolio
  • Ensure feedback from sales objections is effectively assessed and fed into proposition development

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION


  • In depth, demonstrable sales and/or digital marketing experience with significant experience in presenting digital solutions to clients and pitching
  • A storyteller with excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively articulate benefits of our services in multiple mediums
  • A problem solver - able to take client challenges and understand how we can solve them
  • Effective organisation and time management skills with an ability to multitask and prioritise
